NEWSFLASH 2005 TUNNEL HILL RIDE HANDLED BY SHAWNEE CYCLE CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION 2003 Tunnel Hill Trail Ride This years trail ride seemed to be a tremendous success. Over 150 people made the 50 mile trek from Harrisburg to Karnak, some even riding back to Harrisburg to make the ride a century. There was a great mix of riders from all different backgrounds and lots of tandems of various design. Our group left at the earliest official starting time of 7:30 there were some riders already on the trail and many just arriving. It was obvious that a majority of the riders were leaving later. I have to admit that I cheated some, when I left the gravel trail for the comforting smoothness of the highway. Our group was the first to arrive at the end of the ride in Karnak even though me and Snake fell off due to his flat tire and my Hugeness. When we returned to Harrisburg there were twice as many cars at Parker Plaza. This would have been a great ride to get to know people and have a good time if we weren't busy trying to ride eachother into the ground.
